Andrea, I’m Scandinavian too, so I grew up with cardamom in holiday treats. Now I buy my cardamom at the Indian market, where it’s both cheap and easy to find. It’s amazing to me how a spice travels so broadly!

These look great! I just recently started using cardamom (it was surprisingly hard to find actually. Maybe I was just having bad luck) but it’s a staple in Scandinavian cooking. My fiance being Norwegian is expecting some Scandinavian sweets for the holidays. I wonder if this would qualify? Looks like it would be great on a holiday cookie tray!
