- Fry four or five strips of bacon. Instead of using butter or milk as per regular KD instructions, use some (or all!) of the bacon grease. Chop bacon into chunks and mix it into finished KD. Peas would be good, too, I think. I’m going to try that.

I threw together my own KD hack today, after watching a handful of different food items get thrown out in the garbage today as they went bad…
Standard KD instructions up to the point where you’re adding in the cheese…. Add in some freshly diced (large chunks works too) tomatoes and green onions followed by a Chili Sauce. It keeps that Toxic Orange look of the original KD to a minimum and adds a bit more flavor and spice to it.
